The Good Earth School is a preschool in Kensington, California, that offers early childhood education for children 1 . 5 years to six years old. The great Earth School is inspired by the Reggio Emilia method of education, which means a Child-Centered, on-going Emergent curriculum. Emergent curriculum is really a method of planning lessons that are in line with the children's interests and passion at a specific point in time.
Founded by Gail and Alan Pavlosky, it's the only preschool that serves the communities of El Cerrito, Kensington, Albany, Richmond and Berkeley with nature-based instruction.
Gail has over Twenty five years of expertise in early childhood education, and operated a household daycare center – Galoshes – for 10 years before opening The great Earth School. Her husband Alan has 3 decades of entrepreneurial experience in business and nonprofit operations.
Even though they had ten years of experience running successful businesses, their bank still declined to assist them to obtain new school up and running. So they came to PCV, and that we happily funded them! We're excited to operate together to assist them to grow and make quality jobs.
